Include Super Foods In Your Diet

Eat Healthy Super Foods

Dieticians and Nutritionists generally recommend that you eat a balanced diet that includes a large variety of foods from all the food groups. However, people are always eager to find a short cut or simplification and want to identify which ones are the best foods and prune down their choices to the top 10, top 5 etc.

A search on the internet brings up numerous top 10 lists but if you compare them carefully you will notice that they are not all the same. In fact there are really about 30 items that keep coming up on these Top 10 lists. Sometimes a general food item is included like fish, citrus or legumes. Other lists use a specific type of food like salmon, oranges or red beans. Another thing you’ll notice with these lists is that they tend to repeat themselves. There are really only a handful of lists that then get repeated on many websites with the occassional small change being made to one or two items.

Here are some of the most popular items that appear on Top 10 Super Food Lists:

  • Almonds
  • Apples
  • Avocado
  • Blueberries
  • Broccoli
  • Carrots
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Olive Oil
  • Salmon
  • Soya
  • Spinach
